In 2025, about 110 senior district employees were asked to sign nondisclosure agreements about the school budget, and a sitting board member was charged $76.10 out of her own pocket just to see public records. A school district should never ask its people to sign silence agreements about public money — or make anyone pay to see it. Transparency starts with the room being full and the agenda open.
